Bahrain’s Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani received the Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Yasser Shaaban. The Ambassador delivered the Bahrain sea to air logistics agreement in accordance with Egypt’s status as an official partner for sea and air freight services. This allows Egyptian companies to obtain an official accreditation certificate as an authorized operator.

The meeting reviewed topics to enhance joint cooperation. Bahrain is home to one of the fastest regional multi-modal logistics hubs in the region with only a two-hour turnaround time for all containers meaning products can be with customers in half the time and at 40% of the cost. Through streamlined clearance procedures, optimized logistics, and full digitization, goods transit from Bahrain International Airport to Khalifa bin Salman Port, and vice versa.
