    Amir Sheikh Tamim meets with the President of the ICAO Council

    HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met at the Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Majlis at the Amiri Diwan with HE President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Salvatore Sciacchitano, and the accompanying delegation, who called on HH to greet him on the occasion of his visit to the country.

    Amir Sheikh Tamim meets with the President of the ICAO CouncilDuring the meeting, cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the International Civil Aviation Organization and prospects for their development were reviewed. Under the Chicago Convention (1944), 193 national governments fund and direct ICAO to support diplomacy and cooperation in air transport. A major objective of ICAO is to facilitate diplomatic interactions by maintaining an expert bureaucracy (ICAO Secretariat), and create new policy and standardization.
