    Kuwait will establish a disaster relief and response center in Turkey

    Kuwait’s Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced on Monday that it signed an agreement to create a disaster relief and response center in Antalya, Turkey, thanks to a generous donation from Kuwait Finance House (KFH). Anwar Al-Hasawi, KRCS Deputy Chairman, said the center would deal with emergencies such as the recent fires that plagued Turkish forests on the sidelines of the agreement signing ceremony.

    Kuwait will establish a disaster relief and response center in TurkeyKFH’s donation was a demonstration of Kuwait’s generosity, he said. Yunus Sezer, Head of the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD), hailed the contributions of KRCS and KFH, affirming that Kuwait enjoyed a solid humanitarian and disaster relief record. KRCS Secretary General Maha Al-Barjas, Turkish Ambassador to Kuwait Ayse Koytak, and KFH CEO Abdulwahab Iesa Al-Rushood attended the ceremony.
