    Oman Pavilion at Venice Biennale inaugurated by HH Sayyid Theyazin

    Oman Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, inaugurated the National Pavilion of the Sultanate of Oman at the 59th Venice Biennale. This is one of the most prestigious art festivals in the world. By highlighting Omani cultural production, Omanis expressed their position among world artists, promoting cultural exchanges between Omanis and countries all over the world.

    Oman Pavilion at Venice Biennale inaugurated by HH Sayyid TheyazinThe participation falls within the framework of implementing the Omani cultural strategy within Oman Vision 2040, said HH Sayyid Theyazin. By focusing on Omani culture and its diversity, the Vision reflected Oman’s civilized face as an integrated cultural system, which is full of creativity and openness to other cultures.

    Through three generations of Omani artists, the first National Pavilion of Oman will bring together the dynamic and intergenerational dialogue of Oman’s artistic movement over the past fifty years. This dialogue will be complemented by three decades of modern and contemporary art practice. The exhibition will run until 27 November 2022. A parallel program will be prepared to enhance the benefits of this historical participation in Oman after the Venice Biennale season ends.
